Lightsheer Laser

The NEW High Speed LightSheer with its dramatically increased spot size of 22 mm x 35 mm combined with innovative vacuum-assist technology enables operators to treat larger areas such as backs and legs comfortably in about 15-20 minutes, without topical anesthetics and treatment gel.

High Speed LightSheer Duet reduces treatment times by up to 75%

How does it work?

This exceptional technology uses a laser — an intense, pulsating beam of light — to remove unwanted hair. During this type of hair removal, a laser beam passes through the skin to an individual hair follicle. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, which inhibits future hair growth.

Until now, hair removal of larger body areas has been considered too time-consuming by some, and too painful by others.

High Speed LightSheer – Reduces Treatment Times up to 75% & Significantly Improves Comfort.

When will you see results?

Results differ amongst patients. While some of the hair that has been treated will never re-grow, some will re-grow much weaker and thinner and a number of treatments may be necessary to ensure that these do not return. The reason for this is that hairs need to be treated in the growing cycle rather than the resting cycle and only 60% are growing at any one time.

LightSheer diode lasers are widely recognized as the ‘gold standard’ for hair removal and permanent hair reduction across the broadest patient population. LightSheer is clinically proven to be safe and effective since first introduced in the late 1990s, and perfected over time.

How many sessions are necessary?

Because the LightSheer Laser is so fast and efficient, a series of treatments, which in the past may have taken 6-8 sessions is now, typically, reduced to 3-4 sessions. There is a gap of approximately one month to 6 weeks in between each appointment.

There is no point in scheduling appointments closer together as the laser needs to act on the hair in its growth phase to be effective.

While this information is intended to give you a good overall picture of what Laser Hair removal involves, each situation is unique. The best way to find out if this is the right answer for you is to come and see us. There are no sales pitches at Laser Dublin and we will explain all the options and help you to make the right decision.
